The Uprise - Friends, Fights & Fun
Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania The Uprise had a notorious reputation that followed them wherever the would go.
With the help of their onetime "manager" Randy "Now" Ellis, the band would play alongside fellow acts such as the Dayglo Abortions, Uniform Choice, Dag Nasty, Vision, Cro-Mags & The Exploited.
The Uprise's one and only album "Friends, Fights & Fun" was originally scheduled to be released by Link Records in the fall of 1988.
Riding on the hype of their classic self released 7" single "One By One" in 1988. Their debut album "Friend's, Fights & Fun" was scheduled to be released in the fall of 1988. Unfortunately the band would dissolve after a gig with Social Distortion never to be heard of again. However 3 tracks would appear on 2 compilation albums "The US of Oi!" and "The Spirit Of Oi US Style" which were different mixes, but the album was shelved for close to 35 years.
35 years later "Friends, Fights & Fun" is finally available for the first time ever.
Violated Records is proud to offer this Oi! Core classic to the Underground masses.
