Wastoid - Say Your Prayers (Limited Edition Disco Purple Vinyl)

In 1996, at a time when grunge and alternative rock ruled the airwaves, a new band appeared on the Philly scene. They called themselves Wastoid and shocked the flannel wearing, tattooed and pierced masses with tight leather and medieval capes. Hot metal riffs and dual harmony guitars leads could be heard cutting through the tuned-down sludge of the time. And lyrics that invoked fantasy and the occult forced their way through the tired and played-out songs about how hard it was at the time for other bands to “feel what was real”. As other bands whined about their emotions, Wastoid ripped though double-time beats and lightning fast leads, but always keeping true to the British gods who created the genre including Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. NWoBHM was alive and well in Phila in the 90’s and now it’s back! Wastoid returns!!
